Dear Queen of Peace families,
It’s a very busy week, so this newsletter is coming out a day early.
The Catholic United Raffle is in its final week and Mardi Gras is coming Saturday!
The Catholic Schools Raffle has only FOUR days to go! Be sure to ask friends, relatives, neighbors, and co-workers if they would like some chances to help our school and maybe win$20,000.
Our school keeps every dollar raised through this raffle and the PRIZES are wonderful!

Continue selling as many tickets as you can this week. Let’s make this last week of sales the best we’ve had so far!
Please remember, due to the MN gaming license – The final day to sell any tickets is Sunday, February 26th. ALL tickets must be turned in no later than Monday, February 27th. We have to turn in all tickets whether sold or unsold, so please ensure you have all tickets returned. If there is any concern that you will not remember to turn in tickets on Monday, please turn them in on Friday.
Monday, February 27th all tickets will be totaled! The raffle drawing for gifts cards/cash will take place at this time. You will not be eligible for a prize if tickets are not returned! If you lost tickets, please contact Kim Frye at 218-591-1176 as soon as possible.
Mardi Gras is coming this Saturday Feb. 25th –

Tickets are still available in the school office.
NEW this year: We can accept credit card payments for purchases such as Auction items!

Thank you to all who have already signed up to help with the various positions. We still need more helpers on the day of the event specifically with the ticket/checkout table. Please check out the sign-up sheet in the school.
Mardi Gras Event Tickets:
Ticket orders can be turned in through tomorrow, Thursday Feb. 23 to allow orders to be processed and tickets back to you. Tickets can be purchased through the office on Friday Feb. 24th. All tickets sold prior to the day of the event will be eligible for family credit.
Thank you to those who have signed up to help. We still could use more help the night of the event. If you are planning to attend, try to help out in an area for part of the night. Signing up helps us to set some schedules. The biggest area that still needs more coverage is the ticket table. Please consider helping out. Contact Norlene at 213-4951 or email@example.com
The Queen of Peace Facebook page will be having updates on our various raffles, live auctions and Silent Auctions. Please share and invite. Also please share our Mardi Gras event post and invite your friends through Facebook.

Student Council has book-shaped Candy-Grams for sale as part of our “I Love to Read Month” celebration! A candy sucker is included. Available at the school store, at entry time, each morning through Friday. Only 25 cents each…. Send one to a friend, favorite teacher, parent, or to yourself!
Lenten Soup Supper Fridays: Can you help? We are looking for a couple of parents who would like to host a soup supper. Fridays that are open are: March 24, March 31, and April 7. Please contact Peggy in the parish office. (218-879- 6793) Thank you!
We are still looking for a part-time Pre-School Aide. Would you like to help? (Pay is $9.50 per hour.)
Any adults (18 or older) interested in being a part-time aide in the preschool classroom for approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours during the middle of the day, are asked to contact the school office at 218-879-8516. A Background Study and Safe Environment Training must be completed before working with preschool students.
Pennies for Patients: As in past years, we are participating in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s program to raise money to help in the fight against blood cancer. The dates are February 10 through March 30. Students brought home a flyer and a collection box last Friday. Students are encouraged to collect dollars, checks, and change to help with the Pennies for Patients effort. - Mar 9 – Catholic United Financial Raffle drawing in St. Paul
- Mar 11- Destination Imagination regionals at Proctor HS
- Mar 12 – Daylight Savings Time begins
- Mar 20-24 – Spring Break – No School
