Mardi Gras celebration re-cap! What a wonderful evening it was!
Our Mardi Gras committee is still working on the final figures, but our fundraiser netted right around $30,000!
Mardi Gras Thanks You!
The Mardi Gras Committee would like to extend a great big thank you to all those who made our fundraiser a tremendous success. Where do we start?
First of all, thank you to everyone who pitched in and helped with setup, food prep, decorating, beverages, working the event, cleanup and tear down. It just wouldn’t be possible without all of you, the volunteers.
Secondly, we’d like to thank all the businesses and donors, large and small, that so generously contributed items, certificates and general financial assistance for Mardi Gras 2017. It’s these prizes and auction items that make the evening’s events so exciting. Thanks also to Principal Van Loh, the Queen of Peace School staff and the students who so patiently put up with our activities from Thursday to Sunday as the event engulfed the entire first floor of the school.
Most importantly, we’d like to thank all of the wonderful guests that came on Saturday night, whether they be school parents and parishioners their friends and families or just curious members of the community coming to see what all the excitement was about. It’s our Mardi Gras guests that make this fundraiser such a huge success. Thank you! We hope you all enjoyed yourself and will spread the word when next year’s event rolls around!
