Dear Queen of Peace Families,
This is an important Reminder that the Pizza delivery is tomorrow, Friday December 8th. Please come and pick up your pizza orders between 3:00 and 5:30 p.m. in the gym. Please remember that they have to be picked up, because we do not have space to store them. Also, if anyone is free to help unload and separate them into individual orders, they will be there at 1:00 p.m.
We have information available for any families who might wish to learn more about the Special Education Child Find Process, or who may be seeking help for a child that may be struggling with learning in a significant way.
While the teachers and I are always here to help families and students, there are some times when outside professionals may be needed to help a specific child succeed. We have an explanatory letter and contact information available for the Northern Lights Special Education Co-op, if anyone has questions.
Would you like to help a family in need?
We have a family, who shall remain anonymous, that needs help with winter coats for several children. In order to ensure they can get the correct sizes, the school staff and I, as well as our student council, will be collecting monetary donations to help. We will also have a container in the office.
Please help in any amount you can!
An information sheet about the Spirit Mountain Snow/Ski Club is attached. The program is for 3rd through 6th graders. Our school has participated in the program for the past few years. The children of the parent who had coordinated Ski Club have graduated.
We are looking to see who is interested in the Ski Club and parents available to drive as a back-up, or dependent on numbers of participants. There needs to be at least 1 advisor/chaperone with the group. Previously, we have used Wednesdays as our ski day and this seemed to work well with early release, the 3:15 or 3:45 are most likely the times we would use. Please contact Norlene Bleskacek at firstname.lastname@example.org or 218-213-4951 by Dec. 7th, if your child is interested or you have questions.
We have the Wreath Sale financial results:
Total wreaths sold: 1,179
Total funds collected: $26,272.00
Total cost: -$14,760.20
Fundraiser Profit: $11,511.80
This makes a very good contribution toward balancing our school budget.
Thank you to everyone for helping!
