An important update from Kim F., our Raffle committee chairperson:
Queen of Peace School –
Catholic United Financial Raffle
Top sellers from each grade will get an entry into a drawing to win gift cards or cash!
Our Fundraising Goal for 2018 is:
We are 2 weeks into the Catholic Schools Raffle and we are at 8% of our goal!
I’ve been hearing that many of you are selling away and holding onto tickets. Please do NOT keep your sold tickets!! We are required to turn them in throughout the fundraising timeline and need to collect whatever you have sold. Whether you have 1 or 100 sold, PLEASE turn them in. I am more than happy to collect your tickets and money during drop off/pick up time, or even meet you somewhere convenient!
Remember this is a GREAT way to earn your fundraising credit, as it is 100% towards your commitment as well as to the school!
On to the fun!

Sales tip of the week: Get a few classmates together for an afternoon, pick specific neighborhoods, and sell door to door. Make it a fun competition to see who can sell the most tickets, at a single house, on a block, in a given timeframe!
Several families have had good results connecting with other area churches, as well as with extended family and friends. A member of our parish won a free vacation at Wisconsin Dells last year. The top prize is $20,000 or a 2018 Chevy Trax SUV! Please remember all sold ticket stubs AND ALL unsold tickets must be returned to comply with Minnesota gaming laws. The purchased ticket stubs must have the buyer’s contact information, so they can be notified of winning a prize. Persons 18-years of age and older are eligible to win!
Is anyone, or perhaps, are two families together, interested in hosting a Soup Supper during Lent?
This is a Catholic tradition of coming to the church on a Friday evening for the Stations of the Cross prayers, and then having a meatless “soup supper” afterward.
Stations of the Cross will begin at 5:30 pm, so the soup can be brought in a crockpot and will need to be ready to serve around 5:50 or so. Donations of different kinds of meatless soups, some rolls or bread sticks, and probably some fresh veggies are needed. Coffee, water and lemonade mix will already be there and there won’t be a need for paper products, as the napkins and cups that are there can be used.
Our two 2018 teams are the Tune-Tastics (Elementary Level- Fine Arts category) and the Super-Joopers (Middle Level- Scientific category)! Their meetings have started. Go creative kids!
