Mardi Gras! is coming this weekend, Saturday February 10th. Many wonderful auction items, food, fun, and raffles…

…AND please keep selling those Catholic United-School Raffle tickets!

Lent is coming next week and it’s time for TUNA Pizzas! Please see the info sheet attached to this message. Thanks to Pete and his crew at Eskomo Pizza Pies, our school will receive 100% of the purchase price for dine-in orders! Otherwise, the gross profits will be donated. Either way, it helps our school. Just mention Queen of Peace School when ordering!

Mardi Gras Update: only 4 Days to go!!

Mardi Gras Reminders:

Reminder Mardi Gras ticket order forms need to be turned in by Wednesday to allow time for processing. Orders will mostly be processed the same or next day so watch in backpacks for tickets.

Tickets needed after Wednesday can be purchased at the office. Only tickets sold prior to the day of the event will receive family credit. Please return extra tickets by Friday afternoon if you checked out event tickets.

Please turn in all sold and unsold raffle tickets by Friday afternoon.

Please check the sign up sheet on where you could help the night of event.



We are asking each family to donate three baskets, one each valued at $5, $10 and $15. Please fill out slip for value of basket and family credit when you drop them off at the office. If you have any questions on the $5, $10, $15 Baskets: contact Becci Erickson via email or via text at 218-380-1053.

Silent Auction

Family credit will be given equal to the winning bid price. Donated items may be placed with another item, as needed by the Silent Auction Committee. Contact Jen Saletel (218) 343-5396 or Norlene (218) 213-4951 with any questions.

Baskets and Silent Auction items may be brought to the school office beginning Feb 1st. Please fill out and attach a credit slip (located in office) with your name and the value of your donation. We would prefer to have all items at the school by Friday noon, February 9th to make set up easier.

Raffle Tickets

Spread the word about our two awesome large raffle items and sell a few tickets too! Electric Meat Smoker with $400 B&B Meat card

2 Night Stay Good at Great Wolf Lodge, Wisconsin Dells, with $400 gift card good at any Great Wolf Lodge (can be used to extend stay, food, etc…) Flyers available at the office.


Thank you to those who have already signed up to help. Mardi Gras has continued to grow. We have added so many things, that to make it smooth sailing for all the areas we really need your help.

Please sign up! Many time slots are just an hour and others can be shared positions.  The more people we have the smoother the events will go for all of our patrons including all your friends!

Our Fundraising Goal for 2018 is: $19,000

Catholic Schools Raffle is officially half way over and we are at 19% of our goal!

As mentioned in Monday’s email, our first round to turn in sold tickets is Wednesday!  (Feb 7th) PLEASE -PLEASE – PLEASE get any sold tickets turned in.  This gives us a good idea of where we stand in relation to our goal!

Remember all proceeds go 100% towards your fundraising goal AND all money collected stays directly with the school.  We have NO cost on this fundraiser.

Several families have had good results connecting with other area churches, as well as with extended family and friends. A member of our parish won a free vacation at Wisconsin Dells last year. The top prize is $20,000 or a 2018 Chevy Trax SUV! Please remember all sold ticket stubs AND ALL unsold tickets must be returned to comply with Minnesota gaming laws. The purchased ticket stubs must have the buyer’s contact information, so they can be notified of winning a prize. Persons 18-years of age and older are eligible to win!

Is anyone, or perhaps, are two families together, interested in hosting a Soup Supper during Lent?

This is a Catholic tradition of coming to the church on a Friday evening for the Stations of the Cross prayers, and then having a meatless “soup supper” afterward.

Stations of the Cross will begin at 5:30 pm, so the soup can be brought in a crockpot and will need to be ready to serve around 5:50 or so. Donations of different kinds of meatless soups, some rolls or bread sticks, and probably some fresh veggies are needed. Coffee, water and lemonade mix will already be there and there won’t be a need for paper products, as the napkins and cups that are there can be used.

Destination Imagination:

Our two 2018 teams are the Tune-Tastics (Elementary Level- Fine Arts category) and the Super-Joopers (Middle Level- Scientific category)! Their meetings have started. Go creative kids!
