Volunteer Opportunities

2023-2024 QPCS Volunteer Needs

If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to the school office at 218.879.8516. These are great opportunities for parents to meet their hour requirement or for family members and parishioners to get involved in the success of the church's mission:

  • Signing up for Eucharistic Adoration on “School Adoration Fridays” (or on any day), for the love of Our Lord, with intention for the success of our school mission
  • Virtual Fundraising: researcher – we need to research new opportunities now that virtual fundraising is becoming a growing field and some traditional fundraisers have the potential to be less effective due to COVID-19 concerns.
  • QPCS Student Support: Literacy coaching / reading & math tutoring / Teacher assistant (TA must be by need-specific classroom teacher invitation)
  • Fundraiser committee work (MN Marathon, Wreath delivery, Dinner with Santa, Mardi Gras, etc…)
  • Top Future of Hope taskforce priority for 2021-2022: Compiling alumni data (Facebook searching, searching hard-copy records in our documents room)
  • Leading a short-term enrichment project for the Middle School students (e.g. quilting, coding, building, electronics, baking…)
  • Writing thank you notes & tax letters to donors
  • Website content writing / content quality team
  • Volunteer librarian (one day/week or half-day/week)
  • Parent teams for visits to neighboring parishes in promotion of QPCS
  • Volunteer sanitation team (room wipe-downs/hallway wipedowns)
  • Lunch and Recess duty volunteer (any day of the week, from 11:15-12:25)
  • Substitute classroom teaching – contact the office to put your name on the list and begin paperwork
  • Professional Development coaching (from parents/family members with professional teaching backgrounds)
  • Praying the Rosary for the success of our school mission
